In 1995, when I was 14 years old, it was the first time I visited Cancun. My parents, my sister and I came here on vacation. I remember looking out the window of the plane before landing at the impressive turquoise color of the Mexican Caribbean Sea and at that time I asked myself: Do they put colorant in the water? And now I still wonder...

There are several options to get from Cancun International Airport to the tourist area of Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum. The most economical is through ADO Autobuses de Oriente, a very safe, economical, comfortable and recommended bus chain for getting around.

Inside the Cancun Airport there are 4 terminals where a large number of airlines from all over the world arrive, in each of them there is an ADO terminal where you can buy your tickets for the transfer depending on your destination. Depending on the destination, they leave on average every half hour to 40 minutes, while you wait for the bus you can enjoy an ice-cold beer or a refreshing drink prepared to start your vacation.

There are also other transportation options such as public and/or private.

A collective transfer costs approximately $250 MXN per person to the Hotel Zone of Cancun and $300 MXN to the tourist area of Playa del Carmen. The detail of this option is that you have to wait approximately 40 to 50 minutes while the vehicle fills up before you can board and leave for your destination.

Another way is through a Private Transfer Service (only for you and/or your entire family, friends and/or companions). The cost depends on the number of passengers and the destination.
